Learning to crawl

My boys are so different in a LOT of ways...crawling is definitely one of them...Adrian never crawled...on his knees...he perfected the 'pirate crawl' of sitting and swinging one leg under his arms to get around...
Andrew, on the other hand, rolled over really early and started sleeping on his tummy...he is ALWAYS on his tummy...so he pushed up on his hands and knees just naturally...As a mom, I did not try to teach Adrian how to crawl, I didn't push tummy time a lot...he simply hated it, so I did the same with Andrew and here I have a crawler right before 8 months old...

Sometimes, I like to get on my toes!!!

more strawberries please, Mommy!!!

We drove about an hour or so from home to pick fresh strawberries! This is a real favorite for all so it was worth the drive and effort! It was a beautiful day...worthy of an outside adventure...

Daddy helped pick strawberries and Adrian put them in the basket...for a while...then Big A got brave and starting picking...

Our box was getting a little heavy towards the end...I think we picked a little over 7 pounds...we ate some, shared some, ate some more and I'm going to TRY to make jam! wish me luck!!

Almost 6 months old

Wow...almost six months with 2 boys! Andrew is sitting up...with a little help, he rolls over all the time, tries to crawl, sleeps on his tummy, eats cereal with bananas, says a da, a da, a da, and hi hi hi, and laughs at Mommy & Adrian & Daddy...we're all SOOOO funny!
He is such a joy and a sweet addition to our family. I am definitely outnumbered, but enjoy ever moment of it!

Palm Sunday preparations

Next week my dear cousin's third child is coming to visit. I love visitors, I love hosting dinners, and I love trying these out before the actual event...so this weekend was just for that.
My boys are still young...especially Andrew:) and I'm not sure we'll have any more children, so the hopes for a girl (not that I really have hopes) are slim to none...but I love being in the kitchen, so I want my boys to love it too. Adrian does, mostly to make messes...or what he calls making soup! (playing with mommy's pots and pans in the sink) It's usually harmless unless the 'soup' goes overboard!! He's 2 1/2, so I am trying to teach him things about the kitchen, cooking etc...this weekend in preparation for Easter, we boiled eggs, then dyed the eggs and made cupcakes. The process is a little bewildering to Adrian. He wants it now...not 25 minutes after it's boiled or cooked in the oven! The eggs boiled perfectly. I have learned to bring the water to a boil, cover the pot and turn the burner off....perfect hard boiled eggs in 25 minutes. The dye however was not too fond of brown eggs...oh well, we'll try again next Easter! The cupcakes, on the other hand were SO cute!
