I am trying to 'use what I have' this year and just play with the accent plates a little since I told you I have quite a collection of Christmas salad plates. I left the centerpiece and the tablecloth the same, also left the Italian Countryside dinner plates and the Luminarc red glass plates to anchor the table. I used my Romanian goblets (purchased at Marshall's years ago) and our everyday stainless with my grandmother's silver soup spoons.
My mom bought me these plates, bowls and mugs years ago...some before I was married and then she added to my collection my first Christmas as Mrs. Moza.
The green napkins with embroidered Christmas berries were also bought last year after Christmas clearance at Target.
There are two styles...the snowman above and the Christmas tree below.
Snowmen Cream and Sugar set from Ross years ago
Our Advent Trees in the background...
each day we read a devotional and put an ornament on the tree
until Christmas
to learn the story of Jesus.
The only thing new...these beautiful red handled forks bought last week from World Market...on sale yay!
disclaimer...I set them on top of the napkins so they wouldn't disappear in the tablecloth!
Speaking of Snowmen...here is our tree filled with our collection and the dining room hutch filled with Christmas!
I'm joining Susan from BNOTP for Tablescape Thursdays!
Enjoy the pretty tables and thanks to our host!!

Very pretty table, Meredith...love the snowmen plates. I really like the black and white against the red tablecloth.
ReplyDeleteA touch of precious whimsy with a quotient of elegance. I love the plates that your mom bought for you. They are so special. Thank you for inviting us for a peak at your wonderful tablescape. Cherry Kay

ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend, I know you will be busy preparing for Christmas. Love that the boys are learning the reason for the season!
Your table is beautiful. I love how you mixed the flatware. Those new red handled forks are the perfect touch. I so wish we had a World Market near by...but then again, that might not be a good thing for my wallet! Thanks for sharing your wonderful holiday tablescape. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Aaawwwww....how sweet. Your first Christmas dishes as "Mrs. Moza." That is so cool. Makes me smile. The table looks awesome, Meredith, and it's extra special because of the memories it must evoke for you. LOVE those napkins. Very pretty! I saw the flatware at World Market today when I was in there messing around. It wasn't on sale, but I sure longed for it! :-) I hope your household is busy building more Christmas season memories! :-)
