All kinds of red

As much as I love blue and white, I am a big fan of red. I think you've seen everything I used today in several different tablescapes. Nothing is new, just a new way of putting it together.
So today I just used red...red glass dinner and salad plates, red wine stems, red champagne stems, red glass hurricane, red mosaic hurricanes, and red glass votive candle holders. I had a lot of fun this week taking pictures! This is a photo heavy post...just a warning!
I took pictures on two different days and changed the centerpiece...added the pedestal bowl...took it away.
I love the way the candlelight hit this stem.
bokeh! I rarely achieve this in my photography! I can't wait to play around this Christmas with lights!
My husband gave me these red stems. Sadly one of the wine stems broke before we moved.

I added a gold rimmed plate between the two red glass plates.
You can see the glass pattern better because of it.

  5. Meredith, this is one my favorite of your tables! I love red, and adding the gold-rimmed plate to set off the pattern was the perfect choice. Great pics, too - and thanks for teaching me a new word: bokeh. I'm always wanting to know better how to attain that, too -- just didn't know what it was called. :-)

  7. I love this table!
I have some red plates just like the ones you used (salad ones). I have YET to use them on a table because they never look quite right. I have tried for years. They look absolutely beautiful here.

Really, it's one of my favorites this week.

  8. I'm not a big red fan but this is beautiful. I love the big centerpiece bowl and how wonderful to have your great grandmother's salt and pepper.

  11. Hi, Meredith! I've been "Miss Pokey" this week getting around to all the blog posts on TT. Sorry 'bout that! You've done a great job with this table, and your photography is really cool!!! You got some really professional-looking shots in there, girl!!! Your place settings are beautiful. Sorry about the broken stem...I suffered a few casualties lately, too, and it just breaks my heart. :-( Take care, and have a great week!
