It seems that my seasonal allergies should include Texas Grown Christmas Trees. We bought (and cut our own this year...a week ago) and I have been sick since...started with a sore itchy throat, coughing, a little sneezing and head congestion and then yesterday my ears...like I was on an airplane and they hurt, so I told my husband, I know we just spent your hard earned money on this tree, but I think it's making me sick and I'm not sure I'll last 3 more weeks...that's just til Christmas day...
so last night the tree lights and ornaments came down and the beautiful fresh cut tree got banished to our front porch! and this is what we did last night...got our old staple artificial tree that was in storage and my husband and 3 year old put it together and then Mommy dressed it up.
I will say this, after showering all the real tree off of me and getting a good night's sleep, my ears were a lot clearer...Hopefully by Wednesday, this muck will all be gone and I can once again enjoy this Christmas season...allergy free!
Hi! I found your blog from bentolunch.net. It seems we have a LOT in common. I also have 2 boys, 3 and 1. And we lived in TX (Ft. Worth) for 4 years and loved it. San Antonio is beautiful! Come see me over at my blog! Blessings!
ReplyDeletewhat a bummer! hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I think our boys are pretty close in age. My oldest, Timothy, turned 3 on 7/22, and my youngest, Asher, turned 1 on 8/19. Boys are the best! God knew what He was doing when He gave me 2 boys. I have enough girl drama of my own! *snicker* If there were any more girls in the house, I think it would explode! :)
